Demel Café, founded in 1786 in Vienna, Austria by Ludwig Dehne, offers its extraordinary confections, savory bites and beverages in only three exclusive locations worldwide: Vienna and Salzburg in Austria and the Grand Concourse at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. At breakfast and all day long, Demel serves European coffees, fine imported teas and the richest hot chocolate to enjoy in their elegant café or to take away. For lunch or an afternoon snack, select from specialty sandwiches and savory breads along with an array of soft drinks, fine wines, brandies and schnapps. Demel’s desserts – their signature specialty for over 200 years – include cream cakes, tea scones, apple strudels, Sacher tortes and homemade confectionary. Everything at Demel is created using only the finest ingredients.
