In preparation for the $450 million restoration of The Plaza, designers and historians steeped themselves in the details of its exquisite style so that it would emerge completely refreshed while retaining its authenticity.

These objects are representative of the design inspirations for The Plaza: the richness of Louis XV, the extravagance of the Gatsby-era and the glamour of Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball.
